Dial Up Settings For Mac OS 8x-9x (Click here for OS X)

The instructions below are for manually configuring a Macintosh for a dial-up internet connection. If you would prefer to use the Macintosh Internet Setup Assistant click here.

Macintosh Dial-up Settings
1) Click on the Apple, then choose Control Panels, and select TCP/IP

2) From the TCP/IP Control Panel verify the following settings:
Connect Via: PPP
Configure: Using PPP Server
IP Address: <will be supplied by server>
Subnet Mask: <will be supplied by server>
Router Address: <will be supplied by server>
Name Server addr:
216.223.173.12
216.223.173.10
Search domains: rtcol.com

3) Close the TCP/IP Control Panel and be sure to Save Changes to the current Configuration.

4) Click on the Apple, then choose Control Panels, and select Remote Access and Enter the following information:
Choose Registered User
Name: your RTC on Line user name
Password: your RTC on Line password
Number: your local access number
Select Save Password

To connect to the internet click the Connect Button.
OR
To save these settings close the Remote Access Control Panel and be sure to Save Changes to the current Configuration.
